HBCUvc and Pledge LA Partner to Offer Grants to Tech Startups

  HBCUvc​ is a student-led venture capital fund dedicated to HBCU and HSI students have launched a ​request for startups​ and​ Class 4 Applications​. Learn more below!

Announcing the PledgeLA Fund for HBCU entrepreneurs. The 2020 PledgeLA Cohort, will act as fund managers and deploy $5,000 grants (equity-free) to startups founded by HBCU students and alumni. The full announcement, and application, ​can be found here​ on the announcement we released last week.

To apply for funding, at least one member of the founding team must be a current HBCU student or alum. All industry sectors are welcome, however, the startup must be a technology or technology-enabled company.

Our fellows are equipped to use the tools of venture capital to invest in their own portfolio, as well as in founders and communities that are traditionally underserved.
