Denver Terrance Tells us What Really Happened During the Southern University Massacre in 1972

There are many moments in Black History that we rarely hear about, and the Southern University Massacre is one of them. This incident took place in 1972 on the HBCU campus Southern University in Baton Rouge and resulted in two students being killed by police, including Denver Smith. We had the chance to speak with Denver Terrance, who is the nephew of Denver Smith and also a graduate of Southern University, to get more details of what took place that night.

Denver Terrance is also the founder and President of the Denver Smith Foundation, which was started to honor the legacy of Mr. Smith.
