Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated Donates $50,000 to The National Urban League

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. recently announced that it would contribute $50,000 to the National Urban League in support of youths programming through the civil rights organizations. Micheal E. Cristal, the Fraternity’s International President, announced this during a video discussion with Marc Morial, the National Urban League President.

“Being an Association of Sensible people committed to serving our Communities, Phi Beta Sigma aims to protect, empower, and educate our people. We are aware that our collective power is attributed to exponential partnership socially-conscious bodies,” said President Cristal referring to the partnership. “The National Urban League’s record reflects Phi Beta Sigma’s history, and therefore the two ended up being natural partners. I look eagerly await working with their Group to change our nation.”

`”Change takes time, perseverance, and patient. Most importantly, it requires financial resources and a dedicated workforce to achieve the goals. At Sigma, we are privileged to have talented men who are prepared to dedicate their time our community’s transformation,” Cristal added. The $50,000 donation is among several strategic giving reserves that Phi Beta Sigma will make during this summer.

Morial said that Phi Beta Sigma demonstrates ‘brotherhood’, not only within its membership but also in all its connections with the community at large.”
