Claudia Walker is a wife, mother, community advocate and Spelman College Alumna, who is spreading joy and knowledge of HBCUs through her new children’s educational brand, HBCU Prep School. Applying for both Howard and Spelman and being accepted into both, she just knew Spelman was the place for her. From attempting to simply bring the HBCU culture into her home, transitioned to exposing her students and everyone around her to the importance and culture that awaits on HBCU campuses. Throughout her book The ABCs of HBCUs, she exposes children to the various HBCU institutions and Black Greek Lettered Organizations, while teaching them their ABCs.
