HBCU Homecoming Chronicles: A Hornet Affair at Alabama State University

One of the most anticipated times in the HBCU community happens every fall, HBCU homecoming season! HBCU Homecoming is more than just a weekend event; it is a family reunion and a time where alumni return to their alma maters to reconnect with old friends, faculty, and the indomitable spirit of their respective institutions. It’s a celebration of achievement, a showcase of talent, and a testament to the enduring legacy of HBCUs. Last week on our Historically Black Since Fall 2023 homecoming tour, we headed to the Alabama capital of Montgomery, AL for homecoming at Alabama State University, October 6-7th. Founded in 1867 by nine former slaves, the school was originally called  the Lincoln School and located in Marion, AL before relocating to Montgomery.
