Class of 2024 is finally getting the graduations they deserve after being considered the COVID class. There are many graduates this year, especially HBCU graduates that have famous parents. Here are 5 HBCU graduates with celebrity parents.
- Karma Bridges- Spelman College
Karma Bridges graduated this year with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Documentary Filmmaking. She held many great achievements, which includes graduating Summa Cum Laude and was a initiate of the Spelman chapter of Phi Kappa Beta Honor Society.
Bridges is the daughter of the famous rapper and actor Ludacris who is known for rapping “Act a Fool” and “My Chick Bad”. Ludacris has also acted in the “Fast and Furious” franchise as well as “Gamer”.
2. Tylayga Weatherspoon- Texas Southern University
Tylayga Weatherspoon, also known as Tarlaysia Hatch, graduated this year Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Management. During her time at Texas Southern University, she was able to work as a hairstylist, travel and work with multiple brands through collaborations.
Weatherspoon is the daughter of famous rapper Boosie who is known for rapping “Set it Off” and being featured in “Wipe Me Down.”
3. Nigel Sanders- Howard University
Nigel Sanders graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in African American Studies. During his time he participated in activities such as Muay Thai and traveled the world. Sanders also took his time to start producing music for other artists during his time at Howard University.
Sanders is the son of Barry Sanders was a Football running back for the Detroit Lions and has won Heisman Trophy and is recognized as an All-American. He was a the Detroit Lions’s running back for 10 seasons.
4. Jayden Young- Florida A&M University
Jayden Young graduated this year Cum Laude with A Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration. During his time at Florida A&M University he focused on his academics as well as made and published music through Soundcloud.
Young is the son of Trick Daddy who is a well-know rapper. Trick Daddy is known for rapping ‘Let’s Go” with Twista and Lil’ Jon and “I’m a Thug”.
5. Reonna Paul- Clark Atlanta University
Reonna Paul graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Clark Atlanta University. During her time at CAU, she served as Miss Phi Nu Pi for the Gamma Kappa Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and became a Spring ’24 initiate of the Alpha Pi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Paul is the daughter of Rich Paul who is a notably sports agent, with his top client being LeBron James. Paul is the founder of Klutch Sports Group and remains a long time friend to Lebron James.
