The 2024 7th Annual Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic, held from October 11-13, marked the end of a seven-year legacy with an unforgettable weekend of luxury, style, and philanthropy. Hosted by Clark Atlanta University alum, and renowned menswear designer Miguel Wilson , this final edition of the classic was sponsored by Bentley Atlanta and Fulton County Arts & Culture. The event attracted Atlanta’s most elite and influential figures, and featured a blend of high-profile fashion, polo, boxing, and entertainment.
The weekend was packed with exciting events, beginning with the newly introduced Celebrity Fight Night on Friday, October 11, at the Renaissance Hotel. The night featured five rounds of boxing alongside a seated dinner, with two-time Emmy Award-winning radio personality Ryan Cameron as the event’s announcer. Attendees were treated to an exhilarating showdown as celebrities stepped into the ring, making the inaugural fight night a highlight of the weekend.
The Classic drew a host of notable figures, from reality TV stars to athletes and influential business leaders. Among the star-studded attendees were Nene Leakes and Peter Thomas of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta, Mike Jackson of HGTV’s Married To Real Estate, Pastor Jamal Bryant of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, Frank Ski, Clifton Powell, and RL of the R&B group NEXT. Other high-profile attendees included Martell Holt of OWN’s Love & Marriage Huntsville, DJ Scream, Jhonni Blaze, former NFL players Rod Gardner and Ovie Mughelli, and more.
The celebrations continued with the Cocktails & Cigars Under the Stars event, setting the tone for a glamorous weekend.
The grand finale, the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic, took place on Sunday, October 13. This signature event showcased polo matches, including the Junior Polo Classic, where young athletes from Atlanta’s B.E.S.T. Academy and the Congressional Polo Club competed before the main event. The day culminated in a fashion show that embodied the elegance and sophistication the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic has become known for.
While the weekend was a celebration of luxury and high fashion, it also served a philanthropic purpose. The benefactor of the event, the Ride to the Olympics Foundation, supports Atlanta’s B.E.S.T. Academy polo team and works to create opportunities for youth in equestrian sports. Miguel Wilson’s commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in this traditionally exclusive world was at the heart of the event’s mission.
Wilson, also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, emphasized the importance of the foundation’s work. “We had a seven-year run, and it’s been full of good times and great memories,” Wilson shared. “I’m forever grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey. So many friendships and relationships were created here.”
