Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, was founded on January 13, 1913, on the campus of Howard University. Established by 22 college-educated women committed to public service, the organization strongly emphasizes programs designed to uplift the African American community.
With over 350,000 members initiated and more than 1,000 chartered chapters across all 50 states and international territories, Delta Sigma Theta continues to uphold its legacy of sisterhood, scholarship, and service. The sorority has made a significant impact, including donating over $5.6 million in collegiate scholarships.
