Delta Sigma Theta’s Own, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Receives Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Sheryl Lee Ralph, honorary member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., was officially honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on April 16, 2025, marking a monumental moment in her extraordinary career.

With a legacy that spans over four decades in theater, film, and television,
Ralph has not only captivated audiences with her talent but also inspired
countless lives through her advocacy and humanitarian work.


Her performance as Deena Jones in the original 1981 Broadway production of
Dreamgirls, alongside Jennifer Holliday and Loretta Devine, remains a defining
moment in musical theater history.


Today, Ralph continues to shine as Barbara Howard in the award-winning ABC
series Abbott Elementary. At the Walk of Fame ceremony, her co-star and the
show’s creator, Quinta Brunson, paid tribute to Ralph, calling her “a living
embodiment of Hollywood legacy.”
