Morris Brown College Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Celebrates Historic Line Crossing After Two Decades

On the evening of October 30, 2023, Morris Brown College witnessed a momentous occasion, as the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity at the institution celebrated the crossing of their first line in 20 years, welcoming three new members. The probate, an eagerly awaited tradition, marked not only a resurgence of the fraternity’s presence but also a significant milestone in the history of Morris Brown College.

The return of the Iota chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha to Morris Brown College after two decades, was met with immense enthusiasm and anticipation. This historic fraternity, founded in 1906, has a rich legacy of promoting brotherhood, scholarship, and service. However, due to various challenges faced by Morris Brown College in the past, the fraternity had been absent from the campus for a significant period.

The journey toward reestablishing the Alpha Phi Alpha chapter at Morris Brown College was no easy feat. It required dedication, determination, and the unwavering support of the college administration, alumni, and the student body.
