Ralph Lauren has officially unveiled its latest capsule collection, spotlighting two Historically Black Colleges Spelman College, and Morehouse College !
A tribute to the legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities and the cultural resonance of Martha’s Vineyard. The campaign is led by three talented HBCU alumni who now hold key creative roles within the Ralph Lauren brand: Joshua Renfroe (Tuskegee University), Art Director; Dara Douglas (Spelman College), Creative Consultant; and James M. Jeter (Morehouse College), Creative Director.
More than just a fashion drop, the collection is a celebration of memory, culture, and community. Inspired by Oak Bluffs, a historic community on the northeastern edge of Martha’s Vineyard where generations of Black families, scholars, and creatives have found their sense of belonging.
This collection was created in partnership with the schools, and by employees who deeply understand the nuances of the HBCU legacy being honored.
Renfroe, Douglas, and Jeter didn’t just help bring this collection to life; they are the life behind it, incorporating their HBCU lived experiences and cultural memory into every detail.
Varsity jackets showcase the Maroon Tiger of Morehouse and the Jaguar of Spelman. Each garment tells a story: from classic cardigans to baseball caps.
The exclusive Ralph Lauren x HBCU collection is now available at RalphLauren.com.
