Taylor Polidore, HBCU Educated, Steals the Spotlight in Tyler Perry’s ‘Beauty In Black’

In an exclusive interview with Historically Black Since, we spoke to Taylor Polidore, who stars as Kimmie in Tyler Perry’s hit series Beauty in Black.

As Kimmie, she portrays a young woman navigating a treacherous world of deception, power struggles, and vengeance. Yet beneath the tension and grit of the series lies a deeper narrative as she fights to reclaim her power.

During our conversation, Taylor proudly shared that she is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University. Reflecting on her time at her HBCU, she credited CAU for equipping her with the tools that have shaped her successful acting career.

“The number one thing I gained from CAU was my hustle, and I believe that’s the most important thing to have in the entertainment industry,” Taylor revealed.
