The Real Housewives of Atlanta is officially back, and this season comes with two powerhouse additions to the cast who are bringing serious HBCU pride and Divine 9 excellence.
Entering its 17th season, the franchise welcomes K. Michelle and Pinky Cole as its newest castmates, and these ladies are bringing much more than drama; they’re bringing legacy.
Both women are proud members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and graduates of their respective HBCUs, making this season one for the culture.
And that’s not all, both women are former campus queens. Pinky Cole once held the title of Miss Clark Atlanta University (2008–2009), while K. Michelle was crowned Miss. FAMU in 2003, proving that excellence has always been part of their story.
Since their college days, both women have gone on to dominate their fields. K. Michelle has made her mark in music with multiple chart-topping hits, including “V.S.O.P.” and “Can’t Raise a Man,” while also making waves with her latest move into country music.’
Her soror, Pinky Cole, has built an empire of her own as the founder and CEO of Slutty Vegan, one of the biggest vegan brands in the culture, which previously reached a valuation of $100 million.
The two newcomers are joined by Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton Mwangi, Angela Oakley, and Kelli Ferrell, with Cynthia Bailey returning as a friend of the show.
Season 17 is shaping up to be more than reality TV; it’s a celebration of Black excellence, sisterhood, and culture on and off the screen.
