HBCU Talent Spotlight from Hampton, Central State and Kentucky State University

Along with producing an array of educated individuals HBCUs are also filled with a multitude of talented hidden gems. This week for our HBCU Talent Spotlight, we want to introduce you to three HBCU students who graced the virtual stage on the latest edition of our HBCU Talent Night on Live. 

Hosted by MC and B. Roookiee from Bowie State University along with Hadassah from Alabama A&M University.

With singer 1KingKoby from Kentucky State University, singer Breanne “Bree” Lovelace from Central State University, and musician Jibreel Johnson from Hampton University, the virtual stage was set for an unforgettable evening of music and camaraderie.

1KingKoby: Soulful Rhythms from Kentucky State University

The night kicked off with the vocals of Jacoby “1KingKoby” Pimpleton from Kentucky State University, who two performed original songs from his newly released alum “Gifted.”

Breanne “Bree” Lovelace: Central State’s Vocal Dynamo

Central State University’s own Breanne “Bree” Lovelace took the stage next, enchanting the audience with her powerful and expressive voice. She blew the audience away with her renditions of “Bust Your Windows” by Jasmine Sullivan and Lauryn Hill’s “Killing Me Softly.”

Jibreel Johnson: Musical Mastery from Hampton University

Transitioning from vocals to instrumental brilliance, the spotlight then shifted to Jibreel Johnson from Hampton University on the trumpet.
