Clark Atlanta Alum Taylor Polidore Returns for Beauty in Black Season 2

Tyler Perry’s first Netflix series, Beauty in Black, is gearing up for its second season, and Clark Atlanta University alum Taylor Polidore Williams is back in the spotlight.

The breakout drama follows Kimmie (played by Polidore), a stripper whose life takes an unexpected turn when she becomes entangled with the wealthy Bellaire family, owners of a massive cosmetics empire. Season 1 ended with a jaw-dropping twist as patriarch Horace Bellaire married Kimmie from his hospital bed, leaving her his inheritance and stunning his spoiled heirs.

Now, in Season 2, Kimmie steps into her shocking new role as head of the Beauty in Black cosmetics brand, facing fresh challenges and power struggles.

Tyler Perry teased what’s to come, saying:

“Kimmie exemplifies the spirit of never underestimating the underdog, and I can’t wait for fans to continue to see her story unfold. If you thought Season 1 was a wild ride, you’re not ready for Season 2.”

For Polidore, this moment is also a proud reflection of her HBCU roots. A 2015 graduate of Clark Atlanta University’s Mass Media Arts program, she credits CAU for shaping her hustle and ambition in the entertainment industry.

“The number one thing I gained from CAU was my hustle, and I believe that’s the most important thing to have in the entertainment industry.”

She previously shared in an exclusive interview with Historically Black Since.
