Hampton University alumna Wanda Sykes is returning to her alma mater to film her next Netflix comedy special, marking a full-circle moment at the place where her journey began.
The Emmy-winning comedian, writer, and actress who recently made an appearance at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards is set to take the stage at Hampton University’s historic Ogden Hall on February 20 and 21.
The upcoming special, Please & Thank You, will be Sykes’ third for Netflix and celebrates both her legacy and her deep connection to the HBCU community.
Sykes, a proud member of Hampton University’s Class of 1986, shared the news with fans:
