When it comes to creativity, some people find their lane. Others build an entirely new road—and pave it with purpose. That’s exactly what Akhere and Odion Albert, identical twin brothers and Tennessee State University Class of 2025 alumni, are doing with their rising creative brand, More than Regularity.
As creative directors and photographers, the Alberts have carved out a distinct space at the intersection of culture, storytelling, and intentional style. Known for their polished visuals, cohesive shoots, and consistent presence online, the twins are quickly gaining recognition as two of the most promising young creatives coming out of an HBCU.
What started as a personal expression quickly grew into a movement. “If I’m wearing it, I might as well do something—at least let them know who we are,” Akhere reflected. That intentionality gave birth to More than Regularity, a brand rooted in showing up fully, creatively, and unapologetically Black.

A Brand Built on Vision
Don’t let the effortless aesthetic fool you—what looks like spur-of-the-moment magic is actually the result of meticulous planning. “We plan everything a year in advance,” Odion shared. “It may seem like we shoot every day, but most of what people see was shot two weeks before it even drops.” Some of their creative shoots include mock campaigns for Nike, Timberland, and Reeses Puffs to name a few.
This kind of preparation is what sets More than Regularity apart. The twins treat their brand like a business: mapping out content calendars, executing multi-shoot days, and staying ahead of the curve. For them, creativity flows best when structure and spontaneity work hand in hand.
Early on, Pinterest played a big role in brainstorming. But after developing over two dozen photo shoot concepts, they realized they didn’t need constant reinvention—they needed refinement. “We recycle a lot of shoots,” Akhere admitted. “People think it’s a new pose—nah, it’s the same thing over and over again, just with a different name.”
And that’s the secret to their consistency: evolving a core visual language while keeping things fresh through styling, tone, and storytelling. The result? A brand that feels familiar yet ever-evolving.

The TSU Effect
Tennessee State University didn’t just give Akhere and Odion an education—it gave them a creative incubator. The energy, culture, and pride of their HBCU experience is deeply woven into their work. From their self-assured presence in front of the camera to their behind-the-scenes production skills, the twins credit TSU with nurturing their ambition and sharpening their vision.
Their legacy as TSU alums now extends beyond campus. More than Regularity serves as a blueprint for other young Black creatives: a reminder that the work doesn’t have to be loud to be impactful. It just has to be intentional.
More Than Just a Name
The name More than Regularity says it all. It’s a declaration that they’re not here to blend in. It’s a commitment to quality, creativity, and Black excellence—on their terms.
And they’re just getting started.
“Write everything down. Surround yourself with the right people. And trust your process,” they advise young creatives. Whether it’s planning a shoot or launching a brand, that formula has fueled their journey—and it’s one they freely share with others.
With every image, post, and project, Akhere and Odion are proving that being more than regular isn’t just a brand—it’s a way of life.
